Rick Guidotti has photographed some of the best known celebrities and models with work featured in Elle, GQ, People, Life Magazine, and so much more.
But some of his most important work is going to be on display in Cincinnati at the Art Academy Downtown from September 26 – October 24 in an exhibit called Positive Exposure, The Spirit of Difference presented by the Cincinnati ReelAbilities Film Festival.
Positive Exposure is a project that was created to advance societal attitudes towards individuals living with genetic difference. The images of the exhibition reveal the social and psychological experiences of people living with genetic, physical and behavioral conditions. People of all ages and ethno-cultural heritages.
Mr. Guiodotti’s exhibition celebrates the richness and beauty of human diversity. In addition, the exhibit addresses societal standards of beauty in today’s culture and how this impacts children living with genetic disorders.
Positive Exposure has inspired millions around the globe to reinterpret the meaning of beauty.
Come out on September 26th to view the opening of Foto Focus’s Positive Exposure Exhibit. This free event will include a special free presentation from the photographer himself. Those are interested can also join the Cincinnati ReelAbilities Film Festival at Obscura on September 25th for an opportunity to meet Rick Guidotti and hear his story.
